Free spring cleaning checklist printable4/20/2024 Everything is more fun with a friend, right?! With checklists to motivate us, we can begin crossing off those to-do’s and get this job done. If you’re like me and are not a super spring cleaning fan, we can tackle this job together. And, I’ve spent a good deal of time cleaning up mud and dirty floors from the late winter rains (we don’t get much snow here in our part of Tennessee.) By this point in the year, I’m done being cooped up inside. The job of spring cleaning has never been a favorite of mine. Here is a printable checklist to help you make quick work of this job! Put it in the appropriate bin/pile instead of returning it to the room where it was.Welcome spring with a clean home. If there’s something you’d like to gift to a friend, donate, or sell later, do not put it back. After removing everything from an area, only put back the items you want to keep.If possible, remove the furniture too! This allows you to truly focus on each individual task at hand AND makes it easier to not miss any spots. Remove as much as possible from the area you are cleaning.Instead of trying to remember all of these things later (or neglecting the cleaning tasks to go shop online), just start a list of items you may want to buy to improve your home later. No, you don’t want to get rid of a ton of junk just to buy more junk, but you likely will think of certain things that would help keep your home organized, like shelving liners, a Lazy Susan for your spices, or bins to organize your recycling. This way as you remove items from your cleaning area, you can go ahead and set intentions to get those unwanted goods out of your house! Have bins/boxes/designated piles for TRASH/RECYCLE, REPAIR, DONATE, and SELL.professionally cleaned? Are you going to beat/vacuum them? Whatever cleaning style is best for you, decide ahead of time so you don’t find yourself interrupting your Spring Cleaning to find an affordable cleaner. Are you going to rent a carpet cleaner? Are you going to get rugs, pillows, curtains, etc. Decide how you’re going to handle textiles ahead of time.It’s so frustrating to be in the cleaning groove, only to run out of supplies. Stock your cleaning supplies before you begin.If at all possible, don’t tackle all of this alone! This lets you stay focused on the cleaning tasks instead of filling trash cans and trying to find places for things you aren’t going to keep or use. You’re going to need a place to put things that you will THROW AWAY (and/or recycle), SELL, REPAIR, and DONATE. If you don’t want to burn out, you’re going to want to plan ahead, delegate certain jobs or rooms to any family members or friends, and maybe make a playlist or two.įind a place to start a few bags/bins. I also get a ton of joy from purging unnecessary goods, so this is my jam. I LOVE having an opportunity to drag everything out, reorganize, and find treasure I forgot all about. However, Spring Cleaning is a whole thing for me. As long as things aren’t so cluttered I can’t focus, I feel fine. My house has a very “lived in” look, and I don’t mind if visitors occasionally see my mess.
